The District's Clemency Board and the Mayor’s Office of Returning Citizen Affairs is hosting a community event on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Dorothy Height library located at 3935 Benning Road NE, Washington, D.C. 20019. The purpose of the event is to educate the community on the District’s Clemency Board, its application process, and relief potentially available to incarcerated persons and returning citizens through clemency and other administrative remedies. The event has great speakers lined up, including a recipient of District clemency granted by President Barack Obama, the United States Pardon Attorney, the Community Defender Division of the Public Defender Service, the District of Columbia Clemency Board, and the Mayor’s Office of Returning Citizen Affairs.
