The District's Clemency Board and the Mayor’s Office of Returning Citizen Affairs are hosting a community event on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Southwest Neighborhood Library located at 900 Wesley Pl., SW, Washington, DC 20024. The purpose of the event is to educate the community on the District’s Clemency Board, its application process, and relief potentially available to incarcerated persons and returning citizens through clemency and other administrative remedies. The event has great speakers lined up, including a recipient of District clemency granted by President Barack Obama, the United States Pardon Attorney, the Community Defender Division of the Public Defender Service, the District of Columbia Clemency Board, and the Mayor’s Office of Returning Citizen Affairs.
